This portrayal of what it means to be a young women in Turkey, tells of five teenage sisters reported for illicit behavior after being seen on the beach with male classmates. Their family takes away their mobile phones and computers, seen as “instruments of corruption,” and essentially imprisons the girls. As the eldest sisters are married off, the younger ones bond together to rebel and take charge of their own lives.
