Official Trailer

In this stop-motion animation Courgette, whose mother has just died, is befriended by a police officer who takes him to his new foster home. After struggling in a hostile environment he learns to trust and love. This deeply touching film deals with death, neglect and abuse delicately but unsentimentally.

In French, with English subtitles.

A short film made by Lewes-based organisation Zest will be shown before the main feature.

Zest is a community interest company that supports and trains adults with learning difficulties and autism. The project provides workplace experience and opportunities through delivering a professional car valeting service, based in the County Hall car park in Lewes.

Talking about Zest at the cinema will be one of the film’s directors, Kerry Joyce, and trainee Sophie Halas who lives in Seaford.
